Traditional Thai Yoga Massage is an ancient and sacred system of healing with roots in Yoga, Ayurvedic Medicine and Buddhist spiritual practice. Sometimes referred to as the "lazy man's yoga", it combines acu-pressure, gentle twisting, asanas (Yogic stretching exercises), meditation and rhythmic massage along all the body's energy lines and pressure points.
Thai Yoga Massage is performed with the client comfortably clothed on a special mat on the floor. Sessions usually last for at least one hour and up to two and a half hours. A traditional Thai Yoga Massage usually lasts two hours.
It is better not to eat for at least 1 hour before and after the session. It is also important to drink plenty of water afterward in order to help flush out any toxins that might have been released during the session.
